| New York interior designer Stephanie Cohen has developed an impressive roster of influential clients through the application of her signature New Urban Organic style. By combining contemporary features with natural materials, her environments are sophisticated yet simple, with a calming “Zen” sensibility. Designed in tandem with company rug designer Tom Franklin, the Stephanie Cohen Rug Collection brings the New Urban Organic look to fine, hand-knotted rugs. Like the other Benjamin Rug collections, this program is produced in Jaipur, India and uses hand-spun, hard-twist highland Afghani wool, but many of the design motifs are also rendered in pure hand-spun silk. The marriage of these two materials provides for a unique surface texture, as well as subtle tonal changes in color. Design influences run the gamut from Asian themes and abstract florals to optics. A true program, the Stephanie Cohen Collection is produced in a full range of stocked sizes and can also be ordered in custom sizes for a modest up-charge. |
