Founded in 1985, Amir Aziz and Son is a diversified rug importer and wholesaler, currently importing production from China, India and Pakistan. Qualities the firm imports include hand-tufted, hand-knotted, hand-loomed and machine made, covering price points from promotional to high-end.
Benjamin Rug Imports is the brainchild of company founder Benny Aziz and Vice President Tom Franklin. Originally conceived to market new program, hand-knotted production developed and designed by Mr. Franklin, the Benjamin Rug Imports brand has been expanded is now the marketing avenue for all of the company’s exclusive, copyrighted rug collections.
The firm operates out of a single, wholly owned headquarters in Secaucus, NJ and offers tagging and preparation services, as well as prompt deliveries

Benny Aziz, CEO: After graduating NYU in the mid 1980’s, Benny founded Amir Aziz and Son with his father. Since that time, the company has evolved into a full-service rug wholesaler, importing a large variety of qualities from China, India and Pakistan, including hand-knotted, hand-tufted and machine made.
Stephanie Aziz, President: In addition to her duties with Benjamin Rug Imports, Stephanie maintains a full-service interior design firm, which counts as its clients many celebrities and influential New Yorkers. Stephanie’s interior design background has helped to shape the company’s unique design aesthetic.
Tom Franklin, Vice President: Though Tom’s career in the rug industry technically began at the age of 15, he entered the industry full-time after graduating from the University of Chicago in the mid 1980’s. With a background in rug design, Tom has created more than 10 rug collections since joining Benjamin Rug Imports in 2002 and continues to keep the company on the forefront of rug design, texture and color.
Charles Bowering, National Sales Manager: Charlie joined Benjamin Rug Imports after a 30+ year career with Fieldcrest Mills. His close contact with many of the nation’s largest home furnishings chains has provided the company with the acumen needed to fully service large, multi-store retailers.
